Ava and Zoe from Lovephobia

Once upon a time there was a little Kuvira who dreamed big of becoming an AVN creator.

Just kidding! Hey, I'm Kuvira, a solo game developer of Adult Visual Novels. I'm mainly the developer of Lovephobia, a Slice of Life Visual Novel about an MC returning home after a one-year Work and Travel trip.

I was inspired by the games of Tlaero. They showed me that not every AVN has to be full of bullshit. Interesting stories, characters you care about and still a lot of L'amour.

I wanted to bring other people that same feeling that I had playing her games. Something you play for hours until you realize it's getting bright outside already.

What kind of games I like

I don't like games that are just a fuckfest or cheap slop. A game doesn't have to be on an AAA movie, storywise. But I want to play in a world I can dive into, where I like the characters and I feel good about it.

I would say my favorite genre of games would be romance comedy. And that is what I set out to create.

How I started Lovephobia

I did play a variety of games. And for sure there are many moments in Lovephobia where I was influenced by them, but there is no particular game or movie that inspired me to do Lovephobia. At the very beginning I wanted to create a hurtful NTR game. A game that, when it happens, it hurts. But I threw that overboard very very very quickly.

At the start I felt like NTR games missed the emotional impact, and I wanted to make that impact in Lovephobia. But Ava and Zoe grew very hard into my heart, which is why I could not do it like that anymore. I had so much more fun and felt much better writing nice and good things with them than creating a story that ends in cheating, so I changed my mind about what the game would be about.

I just wanted to spend time with them.

So I just started with I think about four milestones in my head. I had a clear picture of the beginning, the drama with the MC's sister and Kenji, Zoe's birthday scene and the "ending". And then I simply went step by step.

And that's it. That's everything you need to know about me. Except that I like penguins. That's also important.
